Free February half-term family art workshops for ages 7 to 12

Central Saint Martins art and design college in Granary Square are hosting four free art workshops for 7 to 12-year-olds and their families.

Called ‘Passing the Baton: From Simple Sticks to Spectacular Ideas’, children and families will explore how simple materials, like sticks, can be transformed through their imagination and creativity.

Each session, led by tutors from Central Saint Martins, offers hands-on experience including fashion, textiles, drawing, 3D design / architecture and digital media, giving children a glimpse of what happens at art school.

Come along, from Saturday 15 February to Tuesday 18 February, 10am to 4pm, to explore, experiment and see how big ideas can grow from something as small and simple as a stick!

Camden Schools Art Biennale

These free art workshops are being held as part of the Camden Schools Art Biennale - a partnership between Central Saint Martins, Camden Learning and Camden Council. Look out for an outdoor exhibition featuring the Biennale across the King's Cross N1C estate from 3 February onwards.

Preparations for the second Camden Schools Art Biennale, taking place in 2026, are also due to get under way this September.
