Young people from Somers Town Youth Centre receive their International Volunteering Award.
Inspiring young people, youth workers and community volunteers had their achievements and projects recognised at the Camden Youth Awards 2023, held at the British Museum on Friday 17 March.
The awards recognised individuals and teams who have made a difference to their community or achieved something exceptional in their own lives.
Among the winners were young people who helped to run the Regent's Park Community Kitchen during the Christmas holiday, creating warm spaces for families and neighbours to meet while also delivering a staggering 2,280 meals.
Other awards recognised an international volunteering project in Cape Town, South Africa by young people (pictured above) and staff from Somers Town Youth Centre and the NW5 Project, as well as the work of a young person who volunteered 500 hours of her time as a sports coach at a Camden primary school, while juggling a full-time college course.
