Youth Celebration Week concluded on 6 December with the Camden Youth Awards, where young people, youth workers, youth projects and volunteers had their achievements and contributions recognised.
The event took place at Acland Burghley School's Hall for All. Disabled children and young people's performing arts charity icandance was named Best Voluntary Sector Project (see photo above). See other photos from the Camden Youth Awards.
Last Wednesday (4 December), a Young People's Assembly was held at the Crowndale Centre to discuss the issue of young women and girls' safety. The event heard the feedback and ideas of both young women and young men.
The week of events, which began with the Youth Safety Multi-Media Awards, was organised by Camden’s Integrated Youth Support Service, with colleagues from across the Council, as well as partners including the police, local schools and voluntary sector youth groups.
