The TCS Mini London Marathon is a fantastic event where young people from across London and the UK take part in a 2.6k road race starting at Horse Guards Parade and finishing at Buckingham Palace and the Mall.

This year 33 Camden athletes took part in the event on 20 April, finishing with three out of six top 10 Team Placings across the six age groups. Camden also celebrated two gold medal winners from the boys U17 groups.

Camden’s Thomas Chadwick won gold, finishing first out of 127 athletes in the boys U17 race. In his sixth year of taking part in the Mini London Marathon, he also came third in the British Athletics Road Championships, racing against some of the best runners from across the United Kingdom.

In the wheelchair race, Illias Zghoundi won his fourth successive gold medal in the T53/54 Wheelchair Races.

In the team results, Camden’s U17 girls team won seventh place overall, the U15s girls team came 23rd, and the U13 girls team came 20th. Camden’s U17 boys team came sixth, the U15 boys team finished eighth, and the U13 boys team finished in 21st place.

We are so proud of all of our Camden athletes and look forward to seeing them represent the Borough in future races.
